Man handed community order for repeatedly exposing himself to women and girls

A 21-year-old man has been handed a two-year community order after admitting to five incidents of exposure.

The incidents took place between 28 October and 12 December 2025, with four in Red Lodge and the fifth incident in Swaffham Bulbeck in Cambridgeshire.

Each report to police indicated that a man was deliberately exposing himself to women and girls.

Two of the victims were 15 years’ old at the time.

Following enquiries Gabriel Riclea, of Malt Close in Newmarket, was subsequently arrested and charged. He pleaded guilty to the offences at an earlier hearing and was sentenced at Ipswich Magistrates’ Court yesterday, Tuesday 25 August.

In addition to the community order, Riclea must be registered with the police in accordance with the Sexual Offences Act 2003 for five years, complete a 26-day programme and undertake a 10-day Rehabilitation Activity Requirement.

Detective Constable Rebecca McHugh, who was the officer in charge of the case, said: “Riclea’s actions were repeated, deliberate and entirely unacceptable. He exposed himself to children and to women walking or jogging alone, for his own sexual gratification.

“He has offered no explanation or apologies for his behaviour, which have caused his victims and others to feel unsafe in their local communities.

“I would like to thank the victims for their bravery in reporting the incidents to police, and for their support in this investigation.

“If unchallenged, exposure can escalate toward more serious sexual and violent offences, and I encourage anyone who has been a victim of this type of crime to report it immediately to police.”
